Voyages of a Babygrower: Babydate, 18 Weeks

Alien Turtle: the Pensinger frontier.

These are the voyages of the Babygrower Pensinger. Her nine-month mission: to explore strange new levels of emotional instability; to seek out larger pant sizes and fried chicken; to boldly go where no Beth Pensinger has gone before.

 Beth’s Log: Babydate, 18 weeks.

Sporadically wake up with the Hamburger Helper mitts for hands. Must cut back on sodium intake—can’t fit hand in purse. Grateful for free protrusion-expansion-suits to make lap swimming possible.

Thought I could feel Alien Turtle move for the first time.

Realized gas was more likely. Cringing a little less each new day of slathering gooey cocoa butter on protrusion to ward off stretch marks. Progress.

Broiled or grilled foods – NOT fried – and salads help reduce the sodium. A non-salt substitute helps if you simply MUST have salt. With practice, you can train (or is the word, trick?) yourself into actually liking the taste of food without salt – LOL!
    Keep at the lap swimming!
No comment on the cocoa butter – didn’t use the stuff! Younger women maybe can testify???

      Thanks!

  2. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a more adorable baby grower. 🙂 I had to cut back on salt too and of course that’s all I was craving. And I don’t think you’ll have to worry about stretch marks. Can’t wait to hear of your adventures as the babygrowing continues.

Me too! As far as cravings go. Thanks!

Seeing that little bump makes my day. So cute! And if you happen to miss a day of the gooey stuff, you’ll be ok.

      Awww, thanks!!

I heard about 1/2 and 1/2 salt. Tastes like salt, but less sodium. 🙂

      Thanks!
